The Making of My Blog

Heading into the making of my first blog I had a little bit of any idea on what to expect since we had reviewed the blog in class first. When creating my url I had no creative ideas ready for what I would call my first blog, so that left with chose of using my e-mail address as an easy way for me to remember the url just incase I will ever need to know it for future times. Once I had my blog setup and ready to go is when I started to get a little lost and waited a couple days until I finally started writing this first post.

So far I haven’t explored the blog too much but so far it seems similar to Facebook but only because they seem to in opposite ways. While Facebook spends a large amount of time on building a profile filled with all sorts of pictures, videos, fan pages, and all the other things Facebook has to offer. Then it dedicates a portion for your wall to keep track of your posts, but the posts are much smaller and even less informal than on blogs. Blogs spend minimal time trying to make a profile for you where you can try to express yourself, instead they give you an endless space for posts where you can truly express yourself and get your opinion instantly out to the world.

Before this class I had no real connections with blogs other than using the ski forum newschoolers.com, but I was always intrigued at the idea of making one. So far I am happy with the blog and am very excited to finally have a place to freely express my thoughts, my opinions, and myself.
